MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is fighting for his life after a shooting in South Memphis on Sunday, Memphis Police confirm.

At 1:12 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of E E.H. Crump Boulevard.

A male victim was found and taken to Regional One in critical condition.

Police said that a man has been detained.

The road has been blocked off as detectives piece together what happened.

In the meantime, MPD has not said if anyone else was injured or if there are any other additional suspects.

They also have not said what led up to the shooting.
