MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot at a Burger King in the Medical District during an attempted robbery Thursday evening, police say.

According to reports, Memphis Police responded to the shooting at the Burger King located at 1027 Union Avenue at 4:49 p.m. A man was reportedly transported to Regional One Hospital by private vehicle in critical condition.

Police say preliminary information shows that the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery.

The suspects fled the scene in a white sedan, police say.
