MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend. There is something for everyone.
Let’s get started with some Fourth of July celebration events today. Starting Friday at 10 a.m., Cooper Young is hosting a block party.
There will be frozen treats from Meme Pops, music, face painting, and a special appearance from the fire department. It’s all free.
Activities are outside Peabody Elementary.
Also, in Midtown on Friday morning is the Central Gardens parade.
Enjoy bluegrass and second line bands, free hot dogs, plus festive floats starting at 9 a.m. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The event is free, and you will meet along Belvedere Boulevard. Make sure you dress to impress in your red, white, and blue, as there will be a competition.
Saturday, support some of Memphis’ youngest business owners at the Kids’ Entrepreneur Fair starting at 1 p.m. at the Raleigh Library.
The event is free and ends at 3 p.m.
The weekend celebrations don’t stop there.
Hard Times Deli wants you to come to its parking lot party in downtown Memphis.
Starting at 6 p.m., they will be serving up some delicious sandwiches all while vibing to sounds from DJ Bizzle Bluebland.
Best of all, it’s free to attend. That event wraps up at 10 p.m.
Summer is here, and the Sundress Soiree at Beale Street Landing is the perfect event to show off your style.
This event is for the grown folks, those 25 and up only.
There will be live DJs, curated appetizers, and signature cocktails, all while enjoying the sunset glow over the Mississippi River. Tickets are $40.
For Sunday funday, join Butterific Bakery for its blackberry jam sessions.
Calling all musicians of all genres, this is your chance to showcase your skills and commune with other artists.
