MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend. There is something for everyone.
All this weekend you can catch Peter Pan at the Orpheum. This high-flying musical has been thrilling audiences of all ages for nearly 70 years.
Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets begin at $30.
Feeling stuffed after all that holiday food? You can walk off the pounds Friday morning at the T.O. Fuller State Park.
The hike will begin at 9 a.m. and participants must meet at the park’s visitor center. Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. It is also free to attend.
On Saturday, Falling into Place is hosting its inaugural holiday market from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. You can support small businesses in the Memphis area along Broad Avenue.
Plenty of vendors will be on hand with handmade goods, jewelry, and home decor. This is also a free event.
Saturday is a time for rest and relaxation. You can do so with Trap Yoga, which is a basic yoga class done at an upbeat pace. Plus the playlist is heavy on Memphis’s own: Glorilla.
The class will be held at the Limitless Fit Club along Brooks Road at 10 a.m. Don’t forget to bring water and a yoga mat. The class fee is $25.
On Sunday Funday you and the entire family can attend the The Leftovers Food and Market Festival hosted by Grind City Brewery.
There will be food trucks, locally crafted beer, and vendors. The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and comes with a complimentary drink.
Also happening on Sunday, Primas Bakery is hosting its “home alone cookie decorating” party.
The cookie fiesta will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the store along Mount Moriah Road. Tickets are $70 and admit two guests.
