Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers dominated the Dolphins 28-15 on Monday night to take another step towards the playoffs. After the game, an ex-teammate made his night even better.

As ESPN’s Lisa Salters began to interview Rodgers, Miami cornerback Rasul Douglas grabbed the 42-year-old and the two shared a long hug while Douglas said a few things in Rodgers’s ear. It was a really nice moment.

As Douglas walked away, Rodgers said, “I love that guy.”

The two were teammates on the Packers from 2021 to ‘22.

That’s a really nice moment between the two veterans.

Rodgers was solid on Monday night, completing 23-of-27 passes for 224 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He finished with a passer rating of 125.9 and averaged 8.3 yards per attempt. He now has 22 touchdowns against seven interceptions on the season, while completing 66.8% of his passes. It has been a nice bounce-back season for the four-time MVP.

Rodgers has upbeat message for Steelers after win

During his interview with Salters, Rodgers expressed that he thinks the Steelers may have begun to believe in themselves. They were once 6-6, but two straight wins have improved their record to 8-6, and they are one game up on the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North. If they keep winning they’ll get to host a playoff game.

“Hopefully, the belief is starting to pick up, because it’s tough to play in the cold weather,” Rodgers said. “And if we can take care of business, then we’re going to be hosting a game right here.”

Things change quickly in the NFL, and the Steelers suddenly look like a threat in the AFC. Rodgers’s leadership and an improved passing attack have a lot to do with that.
