SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WXIN) — Connor Zilisch continues his historic run in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series, winning the 2025 Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.

This is Zilisch’s third straight win, winning last week’s BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway and the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 at Sonoma Raceway the week before.

He is now the youngest driver to ever have six career wins in the Xfinity Series.

Zilisch started the race in seventh and led 19 laps in total before the checkered flag flew. Sam Mayer, who started the race in first place, led 32 laps — more than any other driver in the field.

Taylor Gray, Kyle Larson, and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top five, coming in third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Larson — who won the 2024 Brickyard 400 at IMS — led seven laps after starting the race in 19th.

“There’s no feeling like winning at Indianapolis,” Zilisch said. “Only special people have been able to kiss these bricks, and it sure does mean a lot. I’m definitely gonna enjoy this one.”

Coming into Saturday’s race, Zilisch was second in the Xfinity Series standings. He trailed Justin Allgaier by 21 points.

Allgaier finished 36th in Saturday’s race, picking up 20 points on the day. Zilisch’s first-place finish earned him 55 points, allowing him to surpass Allgaier in the standings.

The Xfinity Series heads to the Iowa Speedway next week for the HyVee Parks 250. You can catch that race on The CW on Aug. 2nd at 4:30 p.m. ET.
