MEMPHIS — A day after news broke that the Grizzlies and Jaren Jackson Junior were finalizing that new contract, a max extension worth 240-million dollars, more news on the team’s franchise forward.
This the kind you don’t want to hear.
The Grizzlies announced on Tuesday that Jackson will undergo a procedure on his right foot after suffering a turf toe injury while playing offsite and away from the team’s facilities.
A further update will be given once that procedure takes place and Jackson is expected to make a full recovery.
Another blow to the Grizzlies who are likely to be without big man Zach Edey for the start of the season after ankle surgery three weeks ago.
