MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Javon Small is officially a Memphis Grizzly.
On Thursday, the team announced that Small has been signed to a two-way contract.
The Grizzlies did not release the terms of the deal.
Small, who was the 48th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, has been with the team in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
The Grizzlies introduced Small, along with fellow draft picks Cedric Coward and Jahmai Mashack, in a press conference on June 27.
“Me personally, I’ve never really been picked first, second, probably not even third,” Small said. “So, I always kind of feel like I got something to prove on the court and, if I got to show a little bit of emotion on the court sometimes or yell in somebody’s face or get a little rowdy and hype myself to get in that dog mode, then that’s what I’ll do.”
The 6-1 guard spent his senior year at West Virginia, where he started 32 games and averaged 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.5 steals.
Before his time at West Virginia, Small played at East Carolina and Oklahoma State.
