Grizzlies select Tennessee Vol Jahmai Mashack with final pick of 2025 NBA Draft

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies traded their 56th pick in the 2025 for the last pick, the 59th pick, and selected Tennessee Volunteer Jahmai Mashack.

The Grizzlies continued to bolster the roster with perimeter defenders in the second round of the NBA Draft.


Mashack played all four seasons on Rocky Top and is tied for the most victories by a four-year player in program history, finishing with a 109-36 record.

He also appeared in the most NCAA Tournament wins of any Volunteer all-time and games of any player in Tennessee history.

Mashack also holds a program record of 18 steals.

He also helped Tennessee earn a spot in the AP Top 25 for his entire career, including 50 weeks in the top 10 and five weeks at No.1 overall.

In 2024-25, he started all 38 games and averaged 6 points and shot 45 percent from the field.
