MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With the 2025 PGA TOUR Regular Season drawing to a close, the FedExCup Playoffs take center stage, beginning with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, August 6-10. To qualify for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, players had to finish the regular season within the top 70 of the FedExCup standings, with the top 50 advancing to next week’s BMW Championship in Baltimore.

This year’s field once again features some of the sport’s biggest stars, including six former FedExCup champions, and is headlined by World No. 1 and reigning FedExCup Champion Scottie Scheffler. Additionally, nine of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking are set to compete in Memphis.

Also joining the lineup are players with rising momentum and recent big wins: Cameron Young, with his long-awaited first TOUR win at the Wyndham Championship, moved from No. 40 to No. 16 in the FedExCup standings, clinching a spot in the FedExCup Playoffs for the third straight season. Twenty-year-old Aldrich Potgieter, winner of the Rocket Classic, is the lone PGA TOUR rookie to qualify for the Playoffs at No. 43 in the standings.

Others made a late-season push to secure one of the final spots in the Playoffs: Matti Schmid earned the 70th and final qualifying spot in the FedExCup standings, securing his first career appearance in the FedExCup Playoffs thanks to three consecutive birdies to conclude the Wyndham Championship. Chris Kirk played his way into the top 70 with a T5 finish at the Wyndham Championship, moving from No. 73 to No. 61 to earn his place in Memphis.

Of the 70 players who qualified for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, 69 are slated to compete when play begins at TPC Southwind. The 2025 field for the FedEx St. Jude Championship is listed below:

Qualifying for the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis carries its own eligibility implications: it secures exemptions into all Full-Field Events and a spot in THE PLAYERS Championship in 2026. Those who finish Nos. 51–70 also carry their accumulated points into the FedExCup Fall, which can help them qualify for early 2026 Signature Events through the Aon Next 10.
