MEMPHIS — While he’s unlikely to play during summer league, Grizzlies top pick and lottery pick Cedric Coward has signed his rookie deal with the Grizzlies.

It’s a multi-year deal and while the team doesn’t release the numbers, Coward has reportedly signed a four-year deal worth right around 26-million dollars for the talented 6’6″ wing out of Washington State.

Coward, who is set to make just a tad over 5-point-7 million this season, seems eager to get on the floor but the team is taking a ‘slow as we go’ approach after a labrum issue sidelined Coward after just six games with Wazzou a season ago.

Coward, drafted 11th overall in June’s NBA Draft, is expected to be full go for training camp.
