Paradox at Peco

Owners, Robbie Johnson Weinberg and her daughter Fannie Weinberg

Paradox came to be in 2022. My mom and I came up with this idea in 2021. She had this vision of a cool gift store in this space, she came to me and asked if I would do it with her. Then came the fun part, dreaming and envisioning what it could look like. We really wanted it to be a unique and interesting space that reflected Midtown, the coolness and the young atmosphere. Paradox, the name, came to be, because we wanted to reflect a large product range. We carry everything from tarot decks to crystal glassware and we really fancy nice jewelry. We wanted it to be a paradox of product. As well as the atmosphere, community is at the heart of what made us want to start Paradox. We really wanted to create an atmosphere here that was reflective of Midtown. Something that would be a fun and enjoyable space, an experience for people to kind of maybe let go of everything that went on in their day and come here and be inspired, uplifted and curious.

Paradox at Peco has been our vision in the making for over a decade. The result is a dream reimagined, a journey translated into a beloved corner of Cooper and Peabody in the heart of Midtown Memphis. Spilling with artistry by over one hundred vendors from around the world, we are thrilled to invite you to experience this magical space.

Step inside and let your curiosity carry you. We look forward to being your guide.
