MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was killed and two men were taken into custody following a shooting late Wednesday night in Southeast Shelby County.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a shooting with injuries at the City Place at Germantown Apartments at around 10:25 PM.
The apartment complex is located near Bromden Lane and Scanlon Drive.
Deputies said when they arrived, they found a woman lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
The deputies began life-saving efforts until Shelby County Fire personnel got there.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men were detained in connection with the shooting.
SCSO said this is an ongoing investigation.
