MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were taken into custody on Friday after they allegedly carjacked a man at Lamar Avenue and Pearson Road on Thursday afternoon.
Rozelie Curtis, 23, and Kindra Shorter, 19, are booking on carjacking and evading arrest charges. Curtis is also charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony.
The victim told WREG he was at a red light near the airport area when a man, later identified as Curtis, zapped him with a stun gun through his window.
Seconds later, two women reportedly jumped in the victim’s white 2004 Yukon and forced him out.
Police said Curtis forced the victim to stay on the ground as he hopped in and sped off.
The car was recovered Friday.
