MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Just in time for Tennessee’s tax-free weekend, the fashion chain that originated in 1969, Primark, will open its first store in the Wolfchase Galleria.

Doors open at 11 a.m. today.

In June, the brand announced it would be opening its first Tennessee location out of the 450 retail stores it has around the world.

“With the opening of our first Tennessee store, families in Memphis now have access to Primark’s signature mix of style, quality, and affordability. We’re excited to welcome shoppers into our new Wolfchase Galleria location today to discover the incredible value and fashion-forward products we’re known for,” said Kevin Tulip, the president of Primark US.

To celebrate its historic opening, the store will host a grand opening party that will feature sweet treats from Sweet Lala’s Bakery, a live DJ, giveaways and more.

On Saturday, the store will have a meet and greet for children featuring characters, Bluey and Bingo, that will is scheduled for 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Primark is located right next door to Prince Jewelers and Sally Beauty on the lower level of the mall.
