MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are searching for a man who they say kidnapped and abducted a woman Friday night in Whitehaven.

It happened just before midnight in the 100 block of Pettite Cove.

Police say the victim and her son were walking in the house when an unknown suspect forced them into the house and demanded her money and car keys.

A second victim told police she heard the victim screaming and saying they were being robbed.

The second victim also said that’s when the suspect then put the gun in her face and demanded her money.

After the suspect had broken a lamp in the living room, the suspect forced one of the victims to drive to Pollyanna William Park at Auburn and Craft Road at gunpoint.

When they made it to the park, the victim says the suspect hit her twice with the weapon and forced her out of the car.

The victim also told police she started fighting with the suspect, and they fell to the ground.

The suspect fired one shot at the victim and missed.

The victim was able to break away and run towards a witness who drove into the park.
