MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The mother of Zeaneatrice Crawford is speaking out about the kidnapping and death of her daughter.

Her accused killer, Raymond Clark, is still on the run, possibly in Atlanta, Georgia.

Investigators found a car there with blood stains, and they said it’s possible Clark stabbed his girlfriend in the car.

“That was an unjust brutal murder. I think this man was going to try to take out my whole family,” said Crawford’s mother.

She’s is so scared of the man who killed her, she wouldn’t show her face on camera.

“We’re all hurting here,” she said.

Police started looking for Crawford`s ex-boyfriend on Saturday when they found her body behind a house in the 700 block of Whitney Avenue.

Earlier that day, police said Clark abducted Crawford, her daughter and another child.

“Zeneatrice was a great loving young lady inside and out. Everybody that came to her presence loved her,” she said.

Crawford`s mother said Clark even pulled up to her house on Saturday with blood on the car and told her Zeneatrice got into a fight.

“When I got down there, I saw the blood, I saw liver. I said this to him, blood all over him and all over this door, I said ‘you done killed my daughter,’” she said.

Crawford said she could hear her 10-year-old granddaughter screaming from the trunk asking for help.

That’s when Clark took off.

Somehow the kids escaped.

“Made them get undressed and tied their hands. She’s a very smart girl. She untied the friend’s hand and the little friend untied her and they got out through the window,” she stated.

Crawford`s family said they won`t be able to rest until Clark is caught.

His own family is pleading with him to surrender.

“I would like to say to him, turn himself in and let everybody know what happened,” she said.

There will be a vigil for Crawford at 7:00 p.m Thursday at 2087 Hubert Street at the home where Crawford lived.

Her funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m at Greater Payne AME Church in Memphis.
