(West Memphis, AR) The Marion School District has closed Avondale Elementary School in West Memphis, AR.
Officials with the district say they were informed that West Memphis has no working water.
We are told a major supply line had a break this morning which did not allow water to be distributed.
A temporary repair has been made.
District officials say parents whose children are already on school buses needed to pick them up from the school as soon as possible.
Avondale Elementary is the only school in the Marion School District that is closed.
Yesterday, West Memphis residents were without water for most of the day and are currently under a boil water alert.
