MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is charged with raping a 12-year-old girl.
The girl told police she was at the home of 62-year-old Volon Sexton January 17 when he sexually assaulted her.
The girl told police Sexton, who had been like a father to her, was drunk when the alleged assault took place.
She said she was scared because he usually carries a gun.
The girl told her parents what happened when she returned home.
Sexton is charged with rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery.
