MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in critical condition after he was shot while trying to pick up a food delivery order Thursday afternoon at a restaurant on Lamar Avenue.
Officers responded to American Deli at 3571 Lamar Avenue just after noon. They found a male victim who was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
According to reports, the victim was picking up a food order for delivery when the suspect approached him from behind and shot him. The victim was struck several times.
The suspect fled the scene eastbound from Lamar Avenue and Democrat Road.
Police are looking for an armed suspect in a white shirt and gray pants.
