MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have charged the man believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting of two people Monday afternoon in the 3800 block of Orchi Road.

Charles Burrow is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of criminal attempt first-degree murder and employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony.

Burrow flagged down officers on nearby Whittier Road and told them he had just shot two people, police said. When the officers responded to the scene, they found two unresponsive victims, along with as a third victim who said Burrow had tried to shoot her as well.

Police have not released the names of the deceased victims, but friends told WREG they were a mother and her adult son.

According to the affidavit, the surviving victim told police Burrows was her ex-boyfriend and came looking for her, upset and firing his weapon. He pointed his gun at her and pointed the trigger, but it did not fire. Burrows then left the house.
