MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two women were taken to jail after police say they pulled a gun out on their grandparents for insurance money at their Frayser home Monday morning.
Dallas Douglass, 25, is charged with aggravated assault.
Mattye Douglas, 26, is charged with domestic assault-bodily harm.

On March 25 just before noon, officers say they responded to an aggravated assault call at a home on Canfield Avenue. The victim stated that his wife’s granddaughters, Dallas and Mattye, came to their house upset about not receiving any money from an insurance policy.
The grandmother stated that both of her granddaughters began to act “erratically about the money” and pushed her in the chest while making threats to harm her.
According to reports, when the grandfather attempted to stop Dallas from going into his bedroom without permission, she pulled a gun out on him and threatened to use it.
Police say another witness on the scene said they saw Dallas point a gray and black handgun at the grandfather.
After looking for the handgun in the victim’s house and the suspect’s vehicle, police say they were unable to find it.
Dallas and Mattye were both taken into custody at that time. They are both scheduled to appear in court on April 30 at 9 a.m.
