MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were left injured after shots rang out at a gas station in Hickory Hill on Thursday night, Memphis Police say.
Officers arrived at the Circle K gas station on Mt. Moriah Road and Ridgeway Road just before 10:30 p.m. regarding a shooting call. When they arrived, two men were seen knocking on a car window.
When they noticed the officers, both of the men ran off. Officers then found a man in the driver’s seat suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
Inside the car, police reportedly found a black handgun on the passenger floorboard and a large bag of what appeared to be marijuana.

While officers were driving southbound toward Apple Tree, a short while later, a man ran out of the wooded area. Police say he was suffering from a gunshot wound and was immediately detained.
He was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
A witness told police she was vacuuming her car when she saw two men walk from behind the business up to a grey car parked on the lot. They got in the car, and soon after, she says she heard arguing and then multiple gunshots.
At this time, it is still unclear who fired the shots, but video footage shows the men exiting a white Nissan Altima with temporary tags parked on the side of the building.
