A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued until 9pm.

The first round of strong storms has pushed through the Mid-South, causing damage in Shelby and Fayette county.

Another round of storms is expected to track through the Mid-South between 3-9pm. Damaging winds is the main concern, along with large hail and heavy rain. A spin-up tornado is also possible.

More showers and thunderstorms are expected on Memorial Day, but the severe weather threat will be much lower.
