MEMPHIS, Tenn. — State Sen. Brent Taylor created a hotline so those who have had a negative experience with the District Attorney’s office can share information privately.
Taylor said he set up the line so crime victims and current and former staff members could share their experiences with Mulroy.
The number to call or text is 901-501-5079. Those interested can also email DAInfo2024@gmail.com
According to Taylor, names will be kept confidential. Any relevant information will be shared with the legal counsel for inclusion in the ouster resolution.
Earlier this month, Taylor sent a letter to Lt. Gov. Randy McNally saying he plans to file a Senate Joint Resolution to remove Mulroy from office. It will be filed immediately after the November elections, he said.
The causes listed for Mulroy will include “‘dereliction of duty’ for failing to properly prosecute convicted felons in possession of a firearm,” the letter states.
