MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Midtown Popeyes employee is accused of stealing a customer’s credit card information and spending hundreds of dollars shopping online.

A customer at the Popeyes located at 1370 Union Avenue told police that she ordered a Cajun Turkey from the restaurant over the phone on November 13. The woman then gave the employee her card information to pay.

Police say the victim later noticed fraudulent charges to online businesses on her account, including Fashion Nova, that she claims she did not authorize.

On November 20, reports say investigators got information from Fashion Nova showing the shipping address used for the orders as a home in the 1700 block of South Orleans Street.
