MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is searching for four suspects after an Uber driver was carjacked at gunpoint.

Officers responded to the carjacking at County Line Express on South Parkway East at around 2:30 a.m. Friday. The victim told police she picked up four people, two men and two women, on Jefferson Avenue downtown.

The woman then dropped the four off at County Line Express, but when three of the suspects got out of the car, the fourth carjacked her with a gun. She says the man threatened to shoot her if she did not get out of the car.

Police say the woman got out and the suspect drove east on South Parkway in her car. The other three suspects were left with the woman.

One of the suspects allegedly chased after the vehicle, yelling at the man to give the Uber driver her car back. The other two suspects walked off, going east on South Parkway.

The MPD described the suspects as the following:

Suspect #1 – Man wearing a black hoody with the hood up. Around 5-foot-2 in height.

Suspect #2 – Man wearing a Grayish color skull cap and what appeared to be a long, red Nike coat.

Suspect #3 – Woman with what appears to be blonde and red color tips in her ponytail, wearing a black hoody, and pink pants. Around 5-foot-6 in height.

Suspect #4 – Woman wearing a purple bonnet with a navy black hoody and navy blue pants.

The victim told police the car was a rental from Hertz off Getwell. Memphis Police say they contacted the Uber help desk for information on the stolen car, but it will take a couple of days before details are available.
