Fugitive Memphis murder suspects captured by U.S. Marshals

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men charged with first-degree murder in deadly incidents from 2020 and 2024 were taken into custody on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Marco McGhee, 19, was arrested at a South Memphis home in connection with a fatal shooting in the 1400 block of Bellevue Boulevard on October 15, 2024.

The U.S. Marshals Service says a man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front room of the home. He was pronounced dead.

McGhee was indicted, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on June 6, 2025, for First-Degree Murder.

According to court documents and previous stories by WREG, McGhee has a record of gun crimes.

In April 2024, he was arrested for allegedly shooting at a man in South Memphis. In April 2025, McGhee was again arrested after he was allegedly caught with a stolen gun on school property.

Kaylon Spivey, 24, was arrested in Indianapolis, Indiana, in connection with a deadly shooting in Memphis on September 6, 2020.

Reports say Memphis Police responded to the shooting at Gill Avenue and Pillow Street, where a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died.

Spivey was indicted and warrants were issued on April 28, 2025, for First-Degree Murder, Carjacking, and Especially Aggravated Robbery. He was taken into custody on Tuesday at a fast food restaurant in Indiana where he worked, according to the U.S. Marshals.

The U.S. Marshals Service will continue to support our partners in removing dangerous offenders from the streets, no matter where they think they can hide,” said Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee.
