MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Four people were injured when the driver of a stolen Lexus crashed into another vehicle in Parkway Village Thursday afternoon, police say.

MPD said the driver of the Lexus was trying to run from officers when they crashed into a Lincoln Town Car at Thousand Oaks and American Way.

The driver of the Lincoln was not seriously injured. Two people in the Lexus were transported to the hospital in critical condition, and a third person in the car was treated for non-critical injuries.

MPD said that at around 4:32 pm, officers spotted the stolen Lexus in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Perkins and approached the vehicle on foot.

Police said stop sticks were deployed, but the suspect vehicle fled the lot. They said seconds later the Lexus hit the Lincoln.

No charges have been filed at this time. MPD said the investigation is ongoing.
