LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. — The parents of one of the victims in a quadruple murder are speaking out after Austin Drummond was arraigned on Tuesday in connection with the four deaths in Lake County last week.
Thursday morning, Kim Hamil struggled to find the words after watching Austin Drummond appear in a video arraignment at the Lake County Courthouse.

Hamil’s son, 21-year-old James Matthew Wilson, was one of four victims allegedly shot and killed by Drummond.
“It’s just a really bad situation that we’re in here, and it’s just, we know that we’re going to get justice for our kids, for this whole family,” said Kim Hamil, mother of victim James Matthew Wilson.
“Matthew was a good father, a good boy, he was a good brother, he was a damn good son,” said Matthew Wilson’s father.
Drummond, being housed in Obion County, arrived in Tiptonville just after 7 a.m. with an armed escort and sat in striped prison garb while Judge Andrew Cook read the charges against him.
“First charge this morning, you have before the court is one count of first-degree murder,” said Judge Cook.
In all, Drummond faces four counts of first-degree murder…as well as aggravated kidnapping, abandonment, and felony possession of a firearm.
He’s charged with shooting to death Wilson, Adrianna Williams, 20, Courtney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15.
Drummond allegedly dropped off the seven-month-old baby of Wilson and Williams in a yard in Dyer County the day the four victims were found dead in Lake County.
An extensive search for Drummond ended Tuesday in Jackson, Tennessee, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Thursday morning, Drummond was denied bond, and District Attorney Danny Goodman plans to move forward.
“Well, I’m pleased with the judge’s decision. We are going to see the death penalty in this case, so that was the reason for asking for no bond, and I’m pleased that he did that,” said District Attorney Danny Goodman, 29th Judicial District.
“We’re going to be here every chance we get, we’re going to be right here. For our son, because he cannot be here,” said Goodman.
The judge has appointed Bryan Huffman of Huffman/Mason Law Firm to represent Austin Drummond.
Drummond is scheduled to appear back in court in Lake County on August 14.
