MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There is a marginal risk for severe weather in the Mid-South on Tuesday, mainly north of Shelby County.

Highs in the 90s and muggy air will help to drive scattered afternoon thunderstorms.

Any severe storms will be on the low end of severe criteria and should resemble more of a garden variety summertime threat.

These cells may provide gusty winds and briefly heavy downpours.
