List of street closures as Mid-South roadways flood

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Heavy rains and thundershowers caused flooding across the Mid-South early Friday morning.

At one point, the National Weather Service even issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of southeast Shelby County.

According to radar estimates, more than 11 inches of rain fell over southeast Shelby County between 11 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

Collierville, Germantown, Memphis, southeast Memphis, Piperton and Capleville should expect flooding along roadways.

Nonconnah Creek at Winchester Road has reached record stage at 27.5 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
