Lego thieves nabbed thanks to social media

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —    A pair of Lego thieves are behind bars thanks to social media.

On February 25, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office released pictures of three individuals wanted for robbing local stores of Legos.

On Tuesday, Michelle and William Holland were arrested after deputies received a tip on social media as to the identity of the toy thieves.

Investigators said the duo was caught on security cameras when they started hitting Target stores earlier this month.

Deputies said this was a first, and they were baffled by it.

At this time, they haven’t released the motive for taking the toys, whether they were returning them at another store or selling them on the streets or on the web.

They also have not released any other information on the third suspect.
