MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A house fire in Raleigh created a dangerous situation for firefighters overnight.
A Memphis firefighter narrowly escaped injury after a section of the carport collapsed at a house in the 3300 block of Red Cliff Drive — which is northwest of Egypt Central and New Allen Road.
The fire started just after 3 a.m. Thursday.
The firefighter was checked out by paramedics on the scene — but they say he’s OK.
No one was home when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
