MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A car crashes into a Raleigh home, leaving thousands of dollars in damage and neighbors on edge.

There’s no word yet on exactly how fast the car was driving, but the crash was so impactful, the car damaged several rooms inside the house on Twin Lakes Drive.

“The front end of the car was right there at the door going into the kitchen,” said homeowner, Marvin Miller.

Thankfully Miller wasn`t home The driver was taken to hospital, but police say she`s going to be fine.

Miller`s now trying to deal with the mess. He’s thankful insurance will take care of almost everything, but some stuff is gone forever.

“I had antique tables and chairs that can’t get replaced from a deceased auntie,” said Miller.

A steep curve is just feet away. Neighbor’s say it’s a dangerous problem, drivers don’t slow down.

“This happens like tic-tac-toe, every other week,” said Beth Henderson.

We first introduced you to Henderson last October when a driver damaged three cars in her driveway.

Then, the city told us this Raleigh neighborhood is caught in a backlog of neighborhoods around the city waiting on speed bumps. Workers might be able to install the speed bumps sometime this spring.

But Henderson says, that`s not soon enough. She`s got grandkids, she wants them to be able to safely play in the yard.

“That would be heaven, that would be nice, but that`s not doable,” said Henderson.

As for Miller, he`s lived in his house for 12 years, but he feels vulnerable in his own home

“I’ve been considering moving. This may be the push I need,” said Miller.

Police haven’t said if the driver will be ticketed or charged.
