JACKSON, Miss. — If your license is set to expire anytime soon, you may want to put that on your to-do list sooner rather than later.
According to reports, all of the Mississippi Driver Services Offices will be temporarily shut down on a regional basis starting Wednesday, July 22.
The department said the closure would allow them to train their employees on upgrades recently made to the driver’s license system.
All Central Region offices are set to close July 22, including Mississippi Highway Patrol Districts 1,5 and 6.
Northern offices will close August 12, including MHP Districts 2,3 and 4.
Finally, all Southern offices will close August 19, including MHP Districts 7,8 and 9.
No word yet on how long the offices will be closed.
