Rick Springfield is set to ring in 2025 with his signature charm and timeless energy. Known for hits like Jessie’s Girl, Springfield has worn many hats in his career, from chart-topping musician to accomplished actor and novelist.

Yet, he considers himself a writer above all else.

“I write because I need to,” he said. “If I’m not writing something, I get kind of dark and down.”

His passion for storytelling extends beyond music, as he’s authored two novels and a candid autobiography.

Springfield credited his fans when asked what has made his music resonate across generations.

“You can’t write a song and declare it timeless,” he said. “It’s up to the audience and what’s happening socially when they hear it.”

Despite decades of success, Springfield remains humble, attributing much of his career to preparation and perseverance.

“Luck is being ready when the moment comes,” he said. “I’ve been playing music since I was 14, writing songs—many of them terrible—until one finally hit.”

As he prepares for a summer 2025 tour, Springfield said he will focus on his health and creative projects, including new music and scripts.

“Health is number one,” he emphasized. “It’s the foundation for everything I want to do.”

Before then, Springfield will take part in an enormous New Year’s Eve bash. It’s just the start of what the music legend expects to be a banner year.

“Here’s to 2025,” he said with a smile. “It should be interesting.”

On New Year’s Eve, Springfield will take the stage for Coast-to-Coast Countdown to 2025, an exclusive New Year’s Eve special that will transport over 50 million American homes through four time zones of midnight celebrations live from the iconic Treasure Island Hotel and Casino lagoon on the Las Vegas Strip.
