MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The man who was last seen at a Cordova gym was found dead inside a car dealership Tuesday evening, according to his family.

Adam Corley’s body was found at the American Car Center on North Germantown Parkway by Memphis Police. The dealership closed last year.

Police say Corley died from a drug overdose and it’s being handled by homicide investigators.

“It’s not the way we wanted it to turn out but we are thankful for everyone who helped us, who prayed and shared posts on Facebook,” said Enid Griffin, his sister.

The family told WREG that the 28-year-old left Crunch Fitness on Germantown Parkway on July 5. He wasn’t reported missing until July 23.

His car was found parked in the lot not too far from the gym.

This is an ongoing investigation, police say.
