PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. — A woman was killed and an officer was injured following a car wreck just off I-55 at Highway 315 in Sardis, Mississippi Monday night, The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff Darby says the officer was taken to a local hospital. A woman in the second vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene.
On Tuesday, she was identified as 33-year-old Ericka Hughes.
This is an ongoing investigation.
