MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have arrested and charged the man they believe to be responsible for a shooting that left two people in critical condition.
The two victims, a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were pulling into a hotel parking lot in the 3900 block of Lamar Avenue Monday when a car pulled up beside them and someone fired several shots into the the victims’ car, police said.
The victims drove to Delta Medical and were then transferred to Regional Medical Center, where they are in critical condition, police said.
Police found suspect Elton Thomas, 28, and arrested him Wednesday.
He is charged with attempted first-degree murder.
